Easter celebrated

Imphal, April 02 2018:
28 RAJPUT of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) reached out to the locals on the occasion of Easter.
The battalion organised two such functions to celebrate Easter.
In the first, Commanding Officer Col Sailesh Kumar Roy visited Moltuk village and distributed gifts to the children.
This was followed by a church ceremony at battalion HQ, Moltuk, said a press release issued by PRO IGAR (S).
In all 72 civilians attended the event which culminated with lunch for all.
In the other event, Company Operating Base Molcham conducted a special programme for the villagers of Khengjang at their local church.
The Company Operating Base Commander along with personnel from the Company Operating Base attended the discourse by the local pastor.
This was followed by an interactive session and vote of thanks.
In all 80 civilians attended the event.
Tea and snacks for them were arranged by the Company Operating Base.
The villagers were very appreciative of the efforts of the unit being part of
their celebrations, the release added.
