Pradhans protest attacks

Imphal, September 01 2014: Pradhans of different Gram Panchayats of the State today protested deadly attacks on two of their fellow Pradhans of Imphal East district today.

They staged a sit-in-protest at Panchayat Bhavan, Porompat and urged the concerned not to repeat such attacks in future.

It may be mentioned that Yourabung GP Pradhan Sandham Ibomcha (44) of Yourabung Khunou is battling for life at Raj Medicity after unknown miscreants shot at a bullet in his mouth on August 30 last.

On the otherhand, unidentified persons fired three rounds of bullets at the residence of Ucheckon Nongchup GP Pradhan at around 10.30 pm the same day.

Seeking clarification on these incidents from the groups concerned, the Pradhans also urged them not to repeat such acts in future.
