Imphal, June 01 2013 : Newly elected president of All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) Wangkhemcha Shamjai has taken charge of AMWJU from outgoing president, A Mobi today during a handing over ceremony held today.

Meanwhile, the first meeting of the new standing committee of AMWJU nominated four persons as standing committee members besides electing office bearers of the union.

Accordingly, Ahong-sangbam Dilip (The Sangai Ex- press), GA Naocha Sharma, Th Lakhikanta, G Gagan Sharma, B Sanjoy Singh and Sunzu Bachaspatimayum have been elected as the vice-president, general secretary, joint secretary, Press Club secretary, treasurer and internal auditor of AMWJU for the term 2013-15 .

The meeting also elected Ratan Luwangcha, Aribam Dhananjoy, Th Milan Luwang, Ch Meghabarna and Th Yai-phaba as the members while also electing Salam Bha-ratbhusan, AK Sanaton and N Tombi Raj as its advisors.
