Imphal, October 31 2012: A one-day free diabetic retinopathy detection camp was held at Lion Vision Centre, Kshetri Shanglen, Thoubal.

The detection camp was jointly organised by District Blindness Control Society, Thoubal; Lions Club of Thoubal and Shija Eye Care Foundation unit in connection with the 13th World Sight fortnight.

Out of the 116 diabetic patients who turned up for the detection camp, five cases were detected to have need cataract operation.

Free cataract operation should be conducted on them at Shija Hospitals on November 5 .
