Rally demands adequate teaching staff

Jiribam (Imphal East), June 30 2015 : The All Manipur Students Union (AMSU), District Committee, Jiribam organised a students' rally at Jiribam today demanding appointment of sufficient faculties at Borobekra Government Higher Secondary school and Netaji Government High School at Jiribam.

A protest demonstration was also staged after the rally at Goakhal, our correspondent reports.

According to AMSU school unit leaders, there is a want of teaching staff at both the schools.

Borobekra Government Higher Secondary school has been demanding appointment of a new Principal to the authorities without much effect.

The school at present runs under the supervision of a graduate teacher.

The students' body has also warned to strengthen its protest in case the authorities concerned fails to address their demands.
