Bid to storm CM's Bungalow foiled

Imphal, December 30 2021: Demanding the state government to forward the recommendation for inclusion of Meetei/Meitei community in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) List of Indian Constitution; volunteers of Scheduled Tribe Demand Committee, Manipur (STDCM) tried to storm the CM's Bungalow on Thursday afternoon.

The volunteers began the protest from Palace Gate and moved towards the CM's Bungalow, while shouting various slogans.

However, they were intercepted by police personnel at Sanjenthong area.

Later, some of the representatives were allowed to proceed and submit a memorandum to the CM.
