Imphal, December 28 2013 : The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today celebrated its anniversary at the Langjing campus of CRPF Manipur & Nagaland Sector headquarters.

Apart from DIGPs Vimal Kumar Bisht, JN Kohli, Vijay Kumar and Sunit Kumar Rai, other CRPF senior officers and jawans joined the celebration during which DG's Disc and commendation letters were distributed to officers and personnel in recognition of their commendable work in administration as well as operations.

The Best Administration and Best Cost Effectiveness trophy was handed over to the Mantripukhri-based 69 Bn CRPF.

Raised as the Crown Representative Police on July 27, 1939, CRPF came into existence with the enactment of the CRPF Act on December 28, 1949, informed a statement.
