Imphal, August 25 2020: The State Election Commission has started due preparations for election to the Autonomous District Councils which is likely to be held in mid-November.

The State Election Commission has also written to the Tribal Affairs and Hill Department seeking its approval for the election, sources informed.

Notably, the State Government extended the tenure of the incumbent ADCs by six months with effect from June 1 this year.

The State Election Commission has also sought consent from the State Government to publish draft electoral roll in connection with the forthcoming ADC election.
