Imphal, December 24, 2013: DM College of Arts Students' Union has expressed serious concern over frequent transfer of teachers from the college.

At a time when the college is facing shortage of teachers, the Government has been transferring teachers intentionally, the students' union alleged.

Three teachers of Education Department, HOD and two Part time teachers of Hindi Department and two teachers including HOD of Political Science Department have been transferred one after another from the college, said a press release.

At this juncture, the press release added, the Government has issued another transfer order of an Associate Professor of the Sociology Department.

Peeved with the frequent transfer of teachers, the union warned that it would boycott 3rd Semester examination commencing from December 4 if the latest order is not revoked immediately.
