Imphal, November 23 2012: A one-day workshop cum hands on training on Manipur Mapup was held on November 22 at the Conference Hall of the Institute of Cooperative Management, Imphal.

The workshop, organised jointly by students of MIMS, Manipur University and ICM Imphal, was attended by around 200 persons, said a statement.

The programme was graced by Prof N Irabanta Singh, Dean, School of Life Sciences, MU; Dr L Jibonkumar Sharma, Director (i/c), MIMS and Dr Kh Somorendro Singh, Director, ICM, Imphal as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

It was a follow-up of Google Mapmaker, Manipur mapping event which was organised jointly by Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility, Life Sciences dept, Manipur University and MIMS, MU on October 22 .
