Imphal, October 22 2012: Chief Secretary DS Poonia today held a meeting with Deputy Commissioners of different districts and discussed about ways and means to protect water bodies as well as water sources.

The meeting held in the conference hall of Old Secretariat also deliberated on implementation of Integrated Wetland Management Programme.

On the other hand, the State Government has directed Forest Department to find out and protect all areas where rivers originate.
