Imphal, June 22 2016: Under the initiatives of Central government of India and NHPC Ltd (Faridabad), Loktak Power Station, Manipur, Yoga and Vyayamshala Kendra, Loktak has been opened yesterday by Thangso Baite, Outer Manipur MP as chief guest in the presence of Dr KK Singh, SCMO and KT Raja Pandian, Sr Manager (Electrical).

Another Yoga and Vyayamshala Kendra was also opened at Shri Shri Gopinath Mandir, Ningthoukhong on the same day which was attended by Kh Jibon, Ex-Minister, Art & Culture and Kh Ibomcha, Ex-Manager (Civil), Loktak Power Station.

Meanwhile, Power Grid Corporation of India, Ltd Yrembam organised International Yoga Day at Powergrid Imphal Yoga Centre on June 21.According to a statement, the employees and their dependants participated in the observation.

The Yoga dem- onstration was led by H Ranjeeta Devi which covers traditional Indian practices of physical, mental and spiritual well being.

The Yoga practices among the employees and dependants would continue on daily basis from 7 am to 8 am at the Centre.
