Imphal, February 22 2020: Troops of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQIGAR (South) seized WY tablets (5.062 kg) worth Rs 1.5 crore at Tengnoupal check post near Sita Road Junction today.

During a routine checking of the vehicles, the troops stopped a Grey coloured Maruti Eeco Van, driven by one Paogougin Haolai (22) of Senapati along with two female passengers, identified as Hatneineng Lhouvum (37) and Hoikhohat Khongsai (33) of Sadar Hills.

While checking the vehicle, WY tablets worth Rs 1.5 Cr in the international market was recovered from the rear seat of the vehicle.

The apprehendees along with the recovered items have been handed over to Tengnoupal PS.
