Imphal, September 19 2015 : Medical team of 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) saved the life of a snake bite victim on September 17 .

The victim namely Bibi Devi (26) of Wangjing in Thoubal district was bitten by a snake while farming.

He was immediately rushed to the unit hospital of 2 Assam Rifles where she was attended by the medical team and necessary first aid was administered.

In another incident, medical team of 20 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) saved the life of another snake bite victim the same day.

The victim namely SK Mongaon (21) of Chandel was rushed to the unit hospital of 20 Assam Rifles at Chandel.

Chief Medical Officer of 20 Assam Rifles examined and treated the individual with anti-snake venom medicines.
