Imphal, May 19 2019: Chandel Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles and Sehlon Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised medical checkup camps at Pallel from May 17 to 19 and at Sehlon, Chandel district on May 19 .

The3-day medical camp at Pallel was for the residents of Pallel and surrounding villages of Aimol Nungourok, Kuraopokpi, Tuisimi, Meipou, Komlathabi, Beaulahram, Teraphai.

Several tests and screening of the life style diseases were carried out by Regimental Medical Organization (RMO) of Chandel Bn assisted by Free Diagnostic Initiative of National Health Mission, said AR.

The Pallel Company Operating Base provided free medical treatment and medicines to a total of 239 males, 109 females and 73 children.

Over 110 villagers were treated at Sehlon village, said AR .
