Imphal, December 18 2024: Lifeless body of a non-Manipuri was discovered floating in a pond at Sangaiprou under Lamphel police station on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Ray (45) s/o Rajdev Ray of Salepur, East Champaran in Bihar, presently residing at Sangaiprou Kabui Khul.

According to a police report, Sanjay Ray was found dead at the pond around 11am Wednesday.

A police team arrived at the scene and fished out the body.

Later, the body was handed over to the family for conduct of final rites.
