Imphal, October 16 2015 : To commemorate the 217th death anniversary of Rajashri Bhagyachandra, a five-day long festival of Raas Leela organised by Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy kicked off today at Guru Aribam Mandap, Brahmapur.

The inaugural function of the festival was attended by H Nandakumar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University, Kh Prakash Singh, former Director, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy and Prof N Tombi as presidium members.

Nat Sankirtana, Kunja Raas, Vasanta Raas, Diva Raas, Nitya Raas will be performed during the festival.
