Imphal, July 15 2014: The executive member of the Organisation for Better Society O Yaima has in press meet appealed that the road stretch from Thumbuthong to Palace Compound should be blacked top with necessary broadening of the road.

During the press meet held at its office, Yaima mentioned that various vehicles including passenger bound auto rickshaw are plying on the said road stretch following the closure of Sanjengthong Bridge.

He further said that commuters on the road stretch are facing hardship due to narrowness of the road which is compounded by the uneven surface of the road.

Along with this demand of black topping and road broadening, he further made an appeal to Advance Hospital authority to arrange its own parking instead of using public space as its parking area.
