Bishnupur, February 15 2020:
Former artiste (Wari Leeba) of All India Radio, Oja Ngangom Chandramani Singh passed away aged 79 on Friday at his residence at Chairel Leingangtabi, Bishnupur.
Oja Ngangom Chandramani Singh trained the art of the narrative form of storytelling from Guru Chandam Machu and Birachandra Singh and became an approved artiste of AIR on February 21, 2001 .
Acknowledging his expertise in the field, Oja Ngangom Chandramani Singh was conferred Kala Bhushan Award by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad in May, 2015 .
