Thoubal, September 14 2022: An official team led by SDO Lilong demolished around 30 illegal structures constructed along the banks of Thoubal River in Keibung Wangmataba to Khekman Amakcham, Keibung Makha Leikai to Huirongbam and Amomkom areas on Wednesday.

Earlier on September 1, the SDO issued an order, instructing occupants/owners of the illegal structures to remove the structures on both sides of Thoubal River in the aforementioned areas by September 7 .

Following the order, 29 structures, which included houses, shops and toilets, were removed by the owners themselves.

However, around 30 standing structures were demolished by the official team using bulldozers on Wednesday.
