Accused in CRPF camp attack case jailed

Imphal, December 13 2024: Thongminthang Haokip, arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) on the charge of carrying out attack on CRPF in Naranseina Maning, Bishnupur district, has been sent to judicial remand till December 25 by special judge (NIA) on Thursday.

Thongminthang was arrested during the course of an investigation into the attack on a CRPF post at the 2nd IRB headquarters located Naranseina Maning on April 27 this year.

Two CRPF personnel were killed and two injured in the attack.

NIA took over the case on May 11 and arrested him on June 6 as the prime suspect in the case.

He is currently lodged in Rohini Jail, New Delhi.
