CCpur, June 13 2022:
At least four labourers engaged in road construction work were injured today as a tipper truck they were travelling in slipped on the curved section of a road and fell about 20 feet below the road surface along NH-102B at Lungthul (D) .
The truck, according to villagers, flipped a few times before and hit a tree.
Had it not been for the tree, the mishap could have proved fatal as the tree halted the truck from falling further.
Out of the six occupants, two were unhurt while the remaining four suffered varying degrees of injuries.
The villagers immediately took the injured to Singngat CHC for treatment.
Lungthul (D) is located about 70 kms from Churachandpur town.
The injured workers are engaged with M&S Construction, the company engaged in constructing G Bualjang to Khuanggin section of NH 102B.
