Imphal, January 13 2015: 3 Corps GOC Lt Gen Bipin Rawat donated two solar street lights to Chingningkok village, four computer sets to Andro village and three solar street lamps, one LED TV, eight plastic chairs, two plastic tables and six mosquito nets to RUSA (Rural Service Agency), Imphal East in a function organised by 30 Assam Rifles and 40 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) at Mantripukhri garrison today.

Speaking at the occasion, the General officer lauded the support of people of Manipur to the Assam Rifles in restoring normalcy and said that provisioning of solar lights, computer sets and utility items to the villages would indeed go a long way in uplifting the living standard and facilitate effective and constructive use of time.

Assam Rifles have always been undertaking various development projects to obviate the problems of the locals, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
