Imphal, November 12 2021: A two-day national seminar on folklore organised by Society for Folklore and Literary Research, Kha Naorem Leikai in relation with its 13th foundation day began from Friday at its office premises in Canchipur.

MU School of Humanities dean professor N Aru-na and Society president M Mani attended the inaugural function as chief guest and president respectively.

Damdama College Kamrup, Assam faculty and research guide of Folklore Research Department Mrinal Medhi and MU registrar professor W Chandbabu were also present during the function as guests of honour.

Former MU vice-chancellor professor S Sanatombi delivered the keynote address of the seminar in which 27 papers will be presented by different delegates.
