ZSUKA, RLP urge

The Zeliangrong Students Union Khoupam Area (ZSUKA) and Rongmei Luh Phuam (RLP) have appealed the Chief Medical Officer of Longmai/Noney district to provide sufficient doctors to the lone Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Khoupam Gaidimijang, Khoupam Sub-Division, Noney district .
A press release issued by secretary information and publicity of ZSUKA stated that the PHC is not able to attend and provide medical assistance to a population of around 20,000 to 25000 .
Only two doctors are available at present to attend to the sick people, it stated .
It appealed the CMO to send three more doctors to the centre in the larger interest of the people .
The Zeliangrong Students Union Khoupam Area (ZSUKA) and Rongmei Luh Phuam (RLP) had notified the authority concerned regarding the matter, however, no positive response has arrived till date, it added .
It urged the CMO to intervene regarding the matter at the earliest before any problem arise .
ZSUKA and RLP would not remain mere spectators if the authority concerned fails to pay heed to the problem, it asserted.
