Imphal, April 09 2012: Irate locals have blocked Oinam Thingel Road from today to protest the prolonged neglect of the said stretch.

Maintaining that the Government has never paid attention to the road since the past 20 years, locals said that they are worried about the onset of rainy season as the road is in a pathetic condition.

The locals said that the drains on either sides of the road are also in bad shape.

Decrying that even the local MLA has turned a blind eye to the plea of the people, the protestors said that the road would be blocked until it is repaired.
