Imphal, November 08 2012: The Molnoi Area Kuki Welfare Chiefs' Committee, Chandel district has said that the bandh called by Chandel based KCA, NCA, NSU and KSO was without the knowledge of the committee.

In a statement, the MAKWCC said the bandh was in the interest of some individuals while asserting that the EE of DRDA is wholeheartedly working for the welfare of the people and maintaining transparency in his work.

It also urged the DC and EE/DRDA of Chandel not to oblige the instruction of the chiefs and students bodies in stopping the transaction of DRDA matters.
