Imphal, October 07 2015: 45 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) collaborated with the Sadar Baptist Association (SBA), Manipur and helped in conducting a five-day youth festival at Mapao Khullen village from October 1 to 5 .

A total of 350 young boys and girls of different tribes from 21 villages participated in the youth festival, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .

A number of sports and cultural activities were conducted during the event wherein football tournament, musical evening and cultural show were the main highlights.

As the representatives of IGAR (S), the troops of Nilakuthi Post of Assam Rifles extended all possible assistance in conducting the youth festival which succeeded in bringing the youth of different tribes to come together and take pledge for encouraging mutual harmony and a cohesive co-existence.
