Imphal, January 07 2022: Oinam Apunba Nupi Meira Paibi Lup and women vendors of Oinam Keithel staged a sit-in-protest on Friday in support of ongoing movement for inclusion of Meitei/Meetei in the ST list of Indian Constitution, spearheaded by Scheduled Tribe Demand Committee Manipur, which has been pressing the state government to send the required recommendation to the Central government.

Slogans demanding inclusion of Meitei/Meetei in the ST list, sending of the recommendation before election and protection of indigenous Meetei community were raised during the protest demonstration.
