Imphal, July 05 2019: As part of Mission Sahyog, Khuga Battalion reached out to Army War Widow Association, Delhi for onetime grant of Rs 10,000 to the Veer Naris.

With concerted efforts involving reaching out and registering Veer Naris, preparation of their claims and interaction with Army War Widow Association, the unit has ensured disbursement of Rs 2,10,000 into the bank accounts of 21 Veer Naris, said a statement of PIB (Defence Wing) .

Khuga Battalion also conducted a felicitation ceremony to mark and publicise the achievement so that various other Veer Naris are also benefited, said the statement.
