Imphal, August 04 2021: A road mishap at Wangkhem Keithel area along Thoubal-Yairipok road claimed one life and injured 4 people.

According to police, the accident happened at around 8.50 am when a mini-truck coming from Thoubal side and an autorickshaw coming from Yairipok side collided head on.

One of the passengers of the autorickshaw, Md Tayeb Ali (50), s/o (late) Md Shaukat Ali of Ngarian Awang Leikai died on the spot while 4 others including the driver were injured.

The injured individuals were rushed to JNIMS hospital for treatment while the body has been kept at JNIMS mortuary.

A case regarding the incident has been taken up at Yairipok Police Station.
