Mishap claims one in Thoubal

Thoubal, August 04 2015: A 23 year-old woman succumbed to her injuries after being hit by a Tata Dumper at Thoubal Haokha Maning Leikai today.

The incident happened at around 12.45 pm.

The victim, identified as Kshetrimayum Roma alias Tenao, 23, d/o Ksh Chaoba of Kiyam Siphai, Kshetrimayum Leikai, was inside her sister's street shop when a Tata Dumper crashed against the front portion of the shop owing to technical failure.

Roma, who sustained severe injuries in the accident was rushed to JNIMS hospital immediately.

She, however, succumbed to her injuries along the way.

The vehicle, owned by one Ningombam Meghachandra, was travelling towards Imphal.

A case has been registered under Thoubal police station.
