Imphal, March 04 2016 : 45 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of IGAR(South) distributed utility items to Carmel Jyoti Orphanage cum Children Home and Missionaries of Charity in Imphal East.

The distribution was part of the perception management drive of AR and lending help to the underprivileged.

The ceremony was attended by authorities of the orphanage, sisters from Missionaries of Charity along with authorities of the local village and Meira Paibis, according to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S) .
