Imphal, January 04 2014 : Kokadan Dalon village in collaboration with the Kabui Cultural Research Institute commemorated the 52nd death anniversary of a renowned personality, D Lanlilung Kabui.

According to a statement issued by D Lungpuijei, Secretary, Kabui Cultural Research Institute, the programme was held yesterday with D Namsachung, Dalon village Chief as President, Y Koireng, former AMUCO President as the chief guest and D Namsadai, Chairman, Dangmei Kaikhuang (South-zone) as the guest of honour.

D Lanlilung, also known as Tomba, was the founder President of Dangmei Kaikhuang which was founded in 1939.He had performed several Rongmei religious eulogies in many ceremonies.

Also, noted for his pioneering work in the field of education in many villages, D Lanlilung was the Darbar member during Maharaja Churachand Singh's reign.

Dignitaries and close companions gave speeches, recalling his great contribution for the society and his charisma.
