Thoubal, September 03 2017: United Progressive Club, Wangjing, launched a drive against alcohol and drugs at Sora today and nabbed three individuals .

A press release issued by the secretary of the club today stated that the three inidivuals were identified as Wahengbam Leishemba Meitei (18) s/o W Ibosana Meitei of Hiyanglam Awang Leikai, Wahengbam Dunison Singh s/o W Shaymakumar Singh and Wahengbam Avungo Singh (21) s/o W Drendro Singh of the same locality .

It further said that the three individuals were later admited to a rehabilation centre after consulting their parents .

The club also clarified that the name of the morther of one Hijam Roshom of Thoubal Mayai Leikai who was arrested by the club on August 31, should be Prema Devi and not Memma Devi.
