FEGOCTA welcomes

The Federation of Government College Teachers' Association, Manipur (FEGOCTA) welcomed the Government of Manipur's decision for the creation of new posts for the teachers in the Government colleges and higher secondary schools, conveyed a press release issued by FEGOCTA.
The statement asserted that creation of new posts has been one of the long-standing demands made by FEGOCTA to the Government.
It also congratulated the 418 part-time college teachers for having their posts created and likely to be regularized by the State Government as a goodwill gesture.
It particularly thanked the Chief Minister, Education Minister, Manipur and Commissioner, Higher and Technical Education, Government of Manipur for their initiative to fulfil the long awaited demands of the teachers' fraternity.
The statement added that the Government should also implement FEGOCTA's demands to fill up the vacant posts of librarians and non-teaching staff in the colleges for proper teaching-learning and good administration in the colleges.
FEGOCTA asserted that it has informed the Prime Minister of India and Union Human Resource Development Minister that FEGOCTA will participate in the coming Teachers' Day celebration and also requested to advise the State Government to implement UGC Regulations, 2010 .
