Imphal, July 02 2013: RS Wungreichon, who scored letter marks in three subjects and passed the HSLC 2013 examination in first division has been felicitated today by JAC Against Forced Eviction and Displaced Naga River Lane Shanao Long.

The felicitation programme was held today at MBC Recreation Centre.

Wungreichon born to RS David and RS Honsanla was a resident of Kabow Leikai Naga River Lane, before the Government of Manipur carried out an eviction drive recently.

In her brief comment at the occasion, Wungreichon said her joy on passing the matriculation examination was short-lived upon spotting her parents preparing meal under the open sky when she returned home.

Urging the State authorities to abstain from any activities that could create mental trauma to the young minds, Wungreichon said she wishes to become a doctor.

She also regretted that till date no representative of either the Child Welfare Committee or Manipur State Women Commission cared to enquire about plight of the displaced people.
