Imphal, September 01 2014: Chief Medical Officer Imphal West handed over the third phase of Manipur State Illness Assistance Fund (MSIAF) to 51 beneficiaries today.

In a function held at her office, CMO Imphal West S Bimolakumari said that monetary help is given under this scheme to selected individuals, who belong to BPL families.

MSIAF distribution function for the first and second phases were organised at DC Office complex, Imphal West, she said adding that similar distribution programmes would be held for other districts as well.

Rs 20 lakh has been deposited at Bank of Baroda, Thangal Bazar branch for MSIAF third phase with respect to Imphal West district, she added.

JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO Advisor Ch Chandramani, JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO Vice-President B Ghanashyam Sharma, JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO Secretary General Purujit Lairikyengbam and JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO Publicity and Information Secretary Laishram Kuber attended the function.
