Imphal, August 01 2021: For violating the Covid guidelines, the State police detained 197 persons today and collected Rs 73,950 as fine.

They were released after warning.

The cumulative amount of fine collected from the Covid guidelines violators now stands at Rs 2,51,91,440 .

The police, in a statement, warned that those violating the Covid norms will be dealt with strong legal actions.
