Awangbow Newmai inspects Imphal Barrage

Imphal, February 01 2023: Minister for Water Resource and Relief and Disaster Management, Awangbow Newmai today inspected the Imphal Barrage at Oinam Sawombung in Imphal West district.

The Minister was accompanied by Wangoi Assembly Constituency MLA, Khuraijam Loken Singh, engineers of WR Department and other officials of the Department.

During the visit, the Minister checked the condition of the barrage , the water body and the projects that are to be taken up at the Imphal Barrage.

Speaking at the sidelines, the Minister appealed to the locals not to dispose of waste materials in the river so as to keep the river clean.
