Imphal, February 01, 2013: A team of Manipur State Commission for women, Lamphelpat today made a spot enquiry at the residence of a rape victim of Kakching, who was reportedly raped on Jan 25. The team members enquired the facts and interacted with the victim's parents, local leaders and also with spokesperson of NESCH, Modhuchandra.

Later, the MSCW members after holding a meeting at its office, decided to take up suo motu case against the rape accused, Yengkokpam Prameshwar Singh (19) s/o Y Rameshwar Singh of Charangpat Mamang Leikai.
