Jiribam, November 30 2012: A house belonging to N Brojen Singh of Kalinagar Pt II Jiribam was set ablaze by some unidentified persons at around 2am today.

Sources said that none of the family members are staying in the house when the incident occurred as all of them have gone to Imphal for Ningol Chakouba festival.

Taking advantage of the absence of the house owners, the miscreants entered the house by breaking the back door and set ablaze after looting some valuable things.

Fire tender rushed to the spot while Jiribam Police registered a case regarding the incident.
