Imphal, October 31 2017: Maj General Virendra Singh, VSM, IG AR (South) and all ranks of your Assam Rifles force extend our warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur on the happy and joyous occasion of 'KUT Festival' .

Kut, a post harvest festival of the people is a thanksgiving to the almighty for a generous and bountiful harvest and symbolizes compassion, gaiety and gratefulness.

The celebrations have now transcended the Kuki-Mizo-Chin community to all the people of Northeast India.

On this auspicious occasion, let us join hands to work unitedly for bringing everlasting peace and prosperity in Manipur by resolving our differences and taking the path of non-violence.

IGAR (South) hopes that Kut 2017 would spread the message of love, peace, harmony and peaceful co-existence amongst all the ethnic groups of the region.
