AR conducts security meet

Imphal, July 31 2019: Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted a security meet at Koirengei.

The security forum was attended by village Pradhans, ward members, councillors, members of village youth club, Meira Paibis and locals of the area, said a press release of IGAR (S).

During the meet, the locals were sensitised and updated on the current situation existing in the area.

Interactions were carried out on necessary measures to be undertaken for maintaining strict vigil against illicit activities in the area, future action plan in respect of civic action projects like medical camps, recruitment in the Assam Rifles and the Indian Army as well as career counselling for youth.

In addition, as part of the 'Go green initiative', the locals were educated on the importance of trees and encouraged to grow more trees to keep the environment healthy and to save natural resources for future generations, said the statement of the AR.
