144 bottles of cough syrup seized

Bishnupur, October 29 2024: A total of 144 codeine cough syrup bottles were seized from Kwakta Terakhongshangbi Ward No 1 during a drive around 6 pm yesterday.

The drive was jointly conducted by the All Meitei Pangal Youth Association (AMPYA) Kwakta, ANJUMAN Kwakta and the Indian Army.

The cough syrup was reportedly found in the possession of one Md Hesam.

Speaking in this connection, Mv Hafijuddin, president, AMPYA said that it is the goal of AMPYA, ANJUMAN and Kwakta CSOs to uproot the menace of illicit substances from the region.
