College teachers' association welcomes Cabinet decision

Imphal, March 29 2018: The Federation of Government College Teachers' Association (FEGOCTA), Manipur, has welcomed the State Cabinet decision to upgrade six aided colleges as Government colleges.

A press release issued by the general secretary of FEGOCTA expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and the Education Minister for the decision.

It also appealed to the CM and the Education Minister to fulfil their assurance for granting the allowances of SCA and TA to the Government college teachers at the earliest.

FEGOCTA appealed to the Education Minister to ensure the promotion of eligible Government college teachers and for the State Government to make necessary announcement for implementation of 7th pay so as to end the cease work strike by Government employees.
