Imphal, August 27 2013: IGAR (S) Maj Gen Rajeev Chopra and all ranks of Assam Rifles have extended warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, with the Major General also conveying his ear-nest message of peace, harmony and unity on the joyous occasion.

"We shall pray to the almighty that this auspicious occasion would be a harbinger of sustained progress and prosperity and shall further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and amity in the State," a PRO IGAR (S) statement quoted the General officer as saying.
