Governor pays tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai

Imphal, January 27 2023: Governor La Ganesan has extended his heartiest greetings on the occasion of the 158th birth anniversary of Lala Lajpat Rai, which falls on January 28 .

Paying tribute to the freedom fighter, he stated that the story, struggle and dedication of the 'Punjab Kesari' in the freedom struggle will always be remembered by his countrymen.

Stating that he was one of the prominent leaders of the Congress who formed the trinity of leaders 'Lal-Bal-Pal' (Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal), the Governor called him a 'fervent nationalist' who worked tirelessly for social reforms.
