The villages along the Indo-Myanmar Border are deprived of basic medical amenities coupled with the problems due to recent incessant rains in the region.
The locals are suffering from various health issues.
Sensing the urgency 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) swung into action and organised a medical camp at Saibol today.
Senior Medical Officer and nursing assistants of 24 Assam Rifles conducted spot medical check-up of affected individuals.
Distribution of medicines, counselling sessions, personal interaction with locals and fruitful information about health and hygiene were the focus of the medical camp, PRO of IGAR (S) informed in a statement.
