Imphal, April 26 2018: Aimol Tribe Union, Manipur has clarified that the Aimol tribe was not forced to merge into Naga fold and it was as per land revenue and record of the history in 1907 that their forefathers were recognised as Nagas.

In a press release, the union also clarified that there is no any harassment to the Aimol people and that 18 AR B-Coy and 3IRB deployed at Ngairong and Molnom villages have been performing duty very well.
